So, a little about myself, eh? Hmmm...well, I'm a 25 years young woman living in northeast Ohio in an unfortunately destitute area with my pretend husband(we both feel silly saying boyfriend and grilfriend after 4 years and having kids together) and our 2 beautiful daughters, ages 4(almost 5!) and 1 1/2 years. I'm kind of like a Celtic Druid with a strong Buddhist influence, if that makes sense. I've never been good at adhering to strict regimen, especially not with my spirituality! There are so many wonderful aspects of these different spiritualities, it's like a bag of potato chips, I can't have just one! I'm actually that one person who can eat just one potato chip though, just so you know.
I'm an artist, and as such, feel I'm living a slightly tortured life because of it. I heard an old saying about the life of an artist being miserable, but I really want to try an change that for myself. I'm not given the time I need to create and the drag down surroundings I live in have nearly exhausted my creativity. I'm in constant worry over money, and I hate that, but it's an unfortunate neccessity. I had recently lost my job as a bartender and now I work in the kitchen of a corporate American restaurant. My income has been cut more than in half, and I think my internet may be off for a little while soon. But I know I'll be back if that happens, no worries.
I live in a small house in a very urban area. We live with 1 dog( "The Duke", named after John Wayne's staggering walk that he had when he was a puppy-he goes by Duke for short) and four kitties, all female(Desdemona the black cat who goes by "Mona", mother of "MorningStar" who looks purebred sealpoint siamese, and their adopted sister kitties Shiva(who we should've named Kali) and Winter who's long calico fur is the color of Birch bark in the winter when covered with snow). I have such a passion for animals and I'm a strong advocate for spay and neuter programs, mostly because our local pound euthanizes a whopping 93% of the dogs that go in. Our area is rampant with animals that need homes, and if I could take more in I would, but it's hard enough as it is. My animals are pretty much my children too.
I grew up in the country, in a town with more cows than people, only twenty miles away from the near-cesspool city I live in now. Don't get me wrong, the area is not a complete loss but it's pretty damn close. We do have some wonderful resources here like the local arts community and a beautiful huge park system called Mill Creek Park. If you're ever in the area you should really check that out.
Alright, well, that should be sufficient start. I'm very friendly though a little down in the dumps these days, so feel free to message me. I love meeting people from around the world and what better place to do it than the internet. Merry Parting and until we Merry Meet again,
Jessica
